Excel in imported in same sort order

When I import Excel files in Access 2000 the file is not imported into the
table into the same sort order as the Excel file. Furthermore, when there's
some import errors, I'm not sure if the error row is the row in the Excel
file or the import table.

Thanks!

Please reply to the post titled "Excel file not imported in original sort

The sort order of a relational table *is arbitrary*. A table should be seen as
an unordered "heap" of data. If you want a specific sort order you must use a
Query, sorting the data by some value within the record. There's nothing
corresponding to Excel's row number.

I'm pretty sure - check it - that the error row is the row in the Excel
source.
