excel file says there is macro cannot find

When I open certain excel files they tell me there is a macro which needs to
be enabled or disabled, however, when I look for the macro to delete it there
is no macro.

hi,
just a guess. open the vb editor (ctrl+F11)
look for an empty module in the project. if there is, then
delete it.
