Excel File Grew to Large Size without obvious reason

I have an excel spreadsheet that was 1.2MB. I recopy this file to update
inventory each month. 3 months ago it grew to 30MB even though no additional
data, rows or columns were added. The file is using a lot of unnecessary
space and is impossible to send by email now.

Does anyone have any idea what is happening?
