Problem with file when transiting from Excell 2003 to 2007

Hello.

A problem with Excel 2007

There is a file created in excel 2003. It has about 5000 rows and 7 columns,
5 columns contain numbers
When I saved this file in new format (excel 2007) the following problematic
changes had occurred:
The file size got smaller 3 times.
The overall sum grew larger 3 times (when the entire work sheet selected)
But the sum of each separate column remains the same
Does anybody know what's wrong with it?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by "got smaller 3 times"? Do you mean the file
size is 1/3 of the original or that the first 3 times you saved it the file
size became smaller but after that it stayed the same? Or do you mean
something entirely different?

File sizes in Excel 2007 will tend to be smaller than those in 2003 because
2007 zips the files.
