When I do a merge in Word with an Excel Spreadsheet... My
spread sheet has dates like this in it: 1/15 and 3/18,
etc. When I pull them into Word during the Mail Merge
Wizard, it automatically changes my dates to 1/15/03 and
3/18/03. Is there somewhere I can make a change so that
the year isn't automatically assumed and added?

have you tried posting to a Word and Excel newsgroup? This one is Windows
XP - as in the title. Not Word or Excel.
