Excel crash withg Data Sort

Hi - I'm using Excel to sort data - account names, county, town etc. I have 3
files for various territories - 2 work fine but one freezes and becomes
non-responsive when I try to sort data in any column. I've tried a Office
disc repair and getting on line updates but nothing works - I've cut and
pasted info onto a new work sheet / file but same happens - I would
understand if all the excel files froze in the same manner but its onlt this
particular one? Is there a common error I should be aware of or a bug?

Hi Tim,

I think there is problem with the data within the file. Please check if-->

There are any broken links in the data you sort
If there are any #N/A, #Ref etc errors in the data
Is the data type of all the cells that are used for sorting criteria the same

You can try copy-->paste special-->values the entire data in a new
worksheet, save the workbook with different name and then try.
