Excel component won't always display on screen

I have a web site that use an Excel spreadsheet component to show a listing
of cemetary records. It used to diplay correctly on most computers. Now most
computers won't display it correctly. For example I have 2 older computers
at home running WIN98SE. One loads and displays the Excel spreadsheet
correctly, the other loads the spreadsheet but then just displays a mal
square with a dot in it instead of the spreadsheet.

Any ideas of how to resolve this problem.

Do these computers have versions of Office installed on them? The Excel
Spreadsheet component really isn't the best thing to rely on. This is
because it is actually part of the Office Web Components, and requires a
licensed copy of MS Office to be installed on the computer running it.
Although it appears in the list of ActiveX controls that FP can use, it is
not an FP component and is only available because FP was a nominal part of
the Office family. You probably need to check things such as permissions,
and whether or not the office web components are installed on the computer
that is not displaying the Excel spreadsheet.
