Excel automation license

Hello,
I have an Excel spreadsheet do calculate stuff. When I put that sheet on a
target machine and access it with C#, do I need an Office/Excel license on
that target machine?

If Microsoft Excel needs to be installed for your application to run
properly, then yes. But if you have only the Excel spreadsheet and you don´t
need the Excel application (you use the ODBC driver for Excel, for example),
then no.
