Two Septembers ago I bought Excel 2016 after years of using Excel 2010... I miss 2010 and want to use it instead. I use 2010 and when I re-open it, my pc has converted it to Excel 2016. Can I somehow (default settings?) use 2010 instead of 2016? Thx.

Do you still have the product key for Office 2010? If so you can download it here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/office

As far as I know there is no way to downgrade Office 2016 to 2010 unfortunately. It's also worth bearing in mind that mainstream support for Office 2010 has ended, and extended support ends in 2020.

Thank you so much for answering my quandary. I am a technological dinosaur and am as resistant to tech changes now as I was to technology in the first place. :( By 2020 I won't care about Office as most of my small business will be done by then. Until then, thank goodness for nice, helpful people like you out there!
