Excel 2003 slow after Print Preview

I'm finding Excel 2003 is slow after using Print Preview. Searches of the
web and newsgroups reveal that a few people have experienced this over the
years but I haven't seen any responses that give a solution to the problem.
Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it. I've tried
selecting different printers but it had no effect.

I've discovered something further relating to this problem. The slow
manipulation only occurs if the printer being used is one that is shared by
the SBS server. If I use a printer that is connected to the network and
print directly to it, manipulation of the spreadsheet after print preview is
at normal speed, i.e. almost instant.
