I have a issue with this. in Excel 2003 Font Color reverts to black in color

the software. I have seen others with this problem but no answer. Need help

Try selecting the whole sheet, change the Font color and then see whether the
problem is still there.

When you are in a cell and change the color it applies to only that cell.

You can globally change the color in Options...
Let me know whether this helped.

I have tried it. it does not seem to work. the strange part is that when you
chabge the color in a cell or on the whole page you see the corect color as
you type. but when you come off the cell it turns back to black. also if you
try to highlight a cell with a background color it never changes. thanks
again.

Mike did you get a reply to your problem....I don't see any solutions. I
have a similar problem in that I am unable to highlight any cells in a
different colour. My fonts also do not change to the colour requested.
What's interesting is that when you drag a total from one cell to another the
highlight shows up. When you print the document the colours are there.
This of course is not use as you cannot see what has been highlighted.
This is extremely frustrating. I have tried to repair and fix, but to no
avail

If anyone out there can help I would be greatful.

Hi PamelaB,

Please don't break up a thread by creating a new thread for an old question,
its extremely frustrating to try to track down split threads.

Cheers,
