I use Enhanced Write Filter with RAM Overlay
I use a 512MB CF Card
C drive is 476MB, and extented patition size is 12MB
In C drive, 450MB is used and 26MB is free disk space
After FBA. Write Filer is "Disable"
Aftter I run "ewfmgr.exe -enable" and reboot, Write Filter is "Enable"
I run "ewfmgr.exe -disable", error message shows "Failed setting protected volume configuration with error87"
I don't know how to resolve this problem
Does anyone know how to not to show error 87

Hi
you probably should enable ewf in registry,
see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnxpesp1/html/XPESP1_CF_EWF.asp

no free space on CF is required

Sounds like you are actually using a registry-based RAM
overlay (EWF_RAM_REG). This happens when you are using a
RAM overlay, but there is no room on the CF card to
create a partition (yes, RAM overlays still need to
create a small, type 45 partition on the disk). You can
fix this by leaving a small amount of unpartitioned space
on the end of the disk (I simply leave 1 sector free).
Alternatively, you can work-around the issue by using
the -commitanddisable switch rather than -disable.

You might be interested in how to use RAM EWF without extra partition.

Go to www.xpefile.com and find ramewf.zip

There you will find some explanations.
and you can always use commitanddisable to solve your problem.

Slobodan
