EWF with compact flash

I installed an XP Embedded image on a CF using EWF
and "EWF for CF" component too.

The "Commit" command runs only if the PC is restarted
using start menu --> restart system.

If the power supply goes down, the previous modification
are lost.

Do you know any solution??

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

There are no software solutions available since this is intended behavior of RAM EWF.
You could have UPS available and shutdown gracefully when power goes off.

Hi Slobodan,

please note that if I install on the Disk on Module if
the power supply goes down, after restart the information
before the last commit command will not be lost.

Why this different behavior between DOM and CF????

Thanks

Alex

You are probably using EWF configured to use Disk Overlay.
Read about Disk and RAM based EWF overlays in product documentation.

Alex,

Just do the "commit" (ewfmgr <drive>: -commit) manually any time you need the modifications to be persistent.
