EWF/HORM for flash disk

Hello,

I'm using a Transcend 2 gb IDE flash disk instead of a compact flash. Is EWF
and HORM needed for flash disk to the same extent as it is for compact flash.
Is the EWF and HORM implementation going to be the same as for CF?

That depends. Does the Transcend support wear-leveling or DMA access? EWF
would be need to protect the life if the flash doesn't have wear-leveling.
HORM would be needed if you want a fast boot solution. Of course, there
needs to be enough space on the flash disk to hold the amount of RAM in the
system.
