everything on my computer is magnified!!

i erased some programs on my computer and it had to restart to finialize
everything. when it came back on everything was magnified and it wont let me
change anything .... the control pannel says everything is normal size the
way it should be like when i got the computer!!! please help this is driving
me crazy because alot of my programs cant be seen becase they are all
magnified!!!!

Try this:

Right click the Desktop, then select Properties>Settings>Advanced>General.
Make sure that the drop down menu is set to 'Normal (96 DPI)'.

i have already checked that and yes it is set to 96 DPI

What programs did you delete? Could one of those had this effect on your
system? Have you tried a System Restore back to a point before the problem
started?

yes i tried to restore the computer before the day i erased the programs and
all it did is restore the programs and all the magnified stuff stayed the
same!! i hope i have not ruined my computer i have just had it for like 5
months!

Try setting the sgreen resolution to a higher figure, say 1024 x 768
(it _might_ have been set down to 800 x 600 or even lower'
(Desktop Properties>Settings)

You may have accidently turned on the accessibility options to magnify
