Magnifying Window

I somehow turned on a magnifier window (approx. 4"w x 3"h) over top of a
Window document that I had open. I don't know why or how it appeared (no
doubt, I had hit a couple of keyboard items), and I've never seen anything
like it in the configuration in which it appeared. I don't know if this is a
Windows XP program or a Windows tool or what.

It did not seem to have anything to do with the magnifier window feature,
which I know is activated through the 'All programs>Accessories>etc. path
(which I activated and closed as I tried various options to get rid of the
magnification window). There was no task-bar indication for this particular
magnifying window (as there is for
the magnification window activated through 'Accessories'), and such actions
as right-clicking on it did nothing to bring up a 'close' command. I finally
had to close down my computer (Toshiba) to end the presence of this feature.

I've never seen this feature in the configuration in which it appeared, and,
as I said, it did not seem to have anything to do with the 'Accessories'
feature and was activated by some sort of keyboard action.

Can anyone tell me what I was looking at, how I might have caused it to
appear, and how I should be able to close it separately?

Thanks.

Go through accessories etc to see if it comes up again ( same size,
width ) ; if it is the same it`s the built in magnifier . If not ,
another magnifier has been downloaded .
I use a free one I downloaded .
Should have red x , top right .

Thanks very much. The window that came up on my computer had no close 'x'
anywhere on the frame and none came up when I right (or left) clicked on it.
I'm unaware that I downloaded any magnifier with something else, and those
items that I have downloaded did not seem to have anything like this.

However, I found an icon in my computer task bar that is identified as a
Toshiba zooming device and am now trying to figure out if what I saw was some
sort of configuration of that devise. The information provided with it is
very limited and I will have to spend some time today trying to dig into it.

Thanks again.

Right click the icon , click properties and that should tell you where
it`s located .
