Well if you can't explain what needs defending I will have to assume there
is nothing and you are being argumentative.
Geez man are you dense. I guess I should TRY to spell it out for you.
Since you are relatively new to this up-tight one of a kind newsgroup
perhaps you are unaware of the self-important mob that infests this
newsgroup referred to as fanboys.
A fanboy is a poster that is often clueless, usually pompous, almost
always loud and typically dumb that for lack of a better phrase
worships Microsoft blindly. In a fanboy's eyes Bill Gates and company
never have or could do anything wrong. To a fanboy Vista is the
greatest thing since sliced bread and Windows is something to be
praised to the highest even worshiped, bugs and all,
So if anyone ever is critical of obvious Vista failings or something
dumb Gates or Ballmer has said rest assured several fanboys will take
offense and begin to squeal, scream and stamp their feet. They always
do much to the amusement of NORMAL people.
Many times threads arise pointing out the absurdity of Microsoft's
poor decisions like UAC, DRM and of course their half-ass activation
scheme. Such threads sometimes lead to a discussion of piracy with
idiots like the resident newsgroup clown Frank having a hissy fit and
in his own stupid way acting like he's defending Microsoft.
This time the discussion was about the so-called effectiveness of
Microsoft preventing piracy. As you would expect the fanboy crowd kept
their blinders on and just ignored facts like they always do. I gave
them a dose of reality with that quote of Gates which again confirms
old Billy G. doesn't give a damn about his customers, with him it
always has been and always will be about the money.
Write it down so you don't forget. Much of what said in the goofy
newsgroup boils down to hypocrisy. Microsoft's hypocrisy, fanboy
hypocrisy. Do try to pay better attention.
