Nope I still have my 8" floppy's and yes I did punch them for double side.
I bet you have no idea what I just said. But the old timers will.

You don't have to be that old. I am 33 and used to do that with my
Commodore 64 floppies. I used the same punch that my dad used on his
Taiwanese Apple ][e clone's floppies.

Typical for you.
Attack others without cause demonstrating you are incapable of
communicating and dealing with the issues.
Instead you need to prop up your views by attacking others.
Your need to attack others shows more of your own character traits
than the ones you so feebly attack.

"XP Drivers should have worked..."
A nice idea but not practical.
To what degree should they have worked?
Many do work as my older computers prove.
Others do not.
Since 100% compatibility is not practical, where would you have drawn
the line?
Anywhere you draw would also be met by criticism by those as
unreasonable and impractical as yourself.

You're just a one trick pony. Anytime anybody disputes anything you
claim you say they are attacking or stalking you. What a pathetic
excuse for a MVP.

Your lack of knowledge is absolutely astounding! why don't you go back to
the alt.uspreschoolersaregoingtoruletheworldsomeday newsgroup. Your friends
are missing you over there.

Wrong...it's you who are the pathetic excuse for a human being.

Pouting now Frank? Jupiter is nothing but a blowhard. He squeals like
a stuck pig anytime anybody calls him on anything.

Well then listen to this user...my Vista Ultimates run just fine thank
you very much!
And I'm pretty sure I'm in the majority of users.
Thanks for listening! :-)

And I could just say "Lucky you" but that's not the point.

Maybe the users that like Vista are right? They are entitled to be right..
even you said so.
If you aren't one of them then hard luck you will have to find something
else you are happy with. (Have you tried a Mac?)
However the happy users don't need or want people that aren't happy with
things being constantly told that there is something wrong with them because
they are happy. You and several others in this group appear to think its
your job to try and make the happy users as unhappy as you are. There are
some really odd people about.

Sure, try looking in the mirror for one.

It is not me who insults users coming here for help but you and a few
others who constantly insinuate that anyone who has problems with it
must be stupid. This actually works against Vista and Microsoft, except
you are too stupid to see that.

If happy users come here nothing I say is going to change that, and I am
not so stupid as to think that insulting them will change it, and trolls
like you really are too stupid to be insulted so I don't bother about
the lesser species either.

One thing is for sure, this is absolutely the worst place any user with
a problem could find themselves at and the likes of you are not the sure
for it you are the cause of it. Your grasp of the technology exists only
in your own self opinionated mind, and it's rather amusing to watch you
all bloating your own egos whilst at the same time seeing the fact that
you are the biggest bunch of know nothing losers ever to join these
groups exposed with every post you make.

crap" bla bla bla

As soon as the drivers caught up then you hear how great it is. Same
story different year.

The first year that Redmond decided to institute WPA and WGA was XP. I
never heard anyone complain about updating from 95 to 98 and much praise
when 98SE came out. The complaints only started when Redmond decided
they should control your computer instead of you. Fanboys like you just
bend over. Discriminating and thinking individuals don't like having to
ask to use something one has paid for.

Your favorite movie? Which part do you see yourself playing?

And let me guess...and you're the dumbest right?

WTF does that mean?

Really? Says who? You? And you are...?

Actually two points you're obviously not aware of or can't understand:
1) hardware/software manufacturers have had damn near 5 yrs to get their
drivers in order. Many got them correct right off the bat and they have
worked very well since the beta 4k builds all the way up to RTM with no
problems at all.
2) many, in fact most, XP drivers will work with XP natively or in
compatibility mode. Bet you didn't know that did you?
3) those loser manufacturers who have not nor will not offer Vista
drivers simply want you to replace existing hardware/software with
"Vista" compatible goods. In others words, spend more money!

You are definitely in the minority of Vista users who can't seem to get
Vista to run correctly. Actually, I haven't seen where you posted
specific problems that are making your Vista experience a bad as you say
it is.
Maybe you could re-post the specific problem(s) you're having...although
I don't think you really care to fix anything as you seem to be nothing
more than a loser troll.
Or am I and the rest of this ng missing something?
Frank

The same thing could be said about manufacturer's that don't write
drivers for Ubuntu and the folks who don't write games for Ubuntu but
for to understand that, you would need to be capable of logic.

Insert your lies, insults and bluster here:

Course all you use it for is posting on Usenet and playing Solitaire.
You're not capable of anything else.

"vista terminal ator" claimed in news:[email protected]...
they are all telling me how crap vista is! And I (can you imagine that) am
trying to explain to them the situation about the drivers and what MS was
trying to do, and trying to give some excuses for MS's incompetence...

but in the end.. I do have to agree... vista IS in fact very crapy....

Today a non tech fellow said to me.. "Vista needs at least a year if ever
to start working well for people".. he also said that "XP was the best OS
MS ever made and will remain so for many years"...

I see that even the common folk get it...

So my conclusion is that people who like vista are far below the "common
folk" in understanding of what is good or not.

Straw man and another knee-jerk insult. Ho hum.
Discriminating and thinking individuals don't like having to
ask to use something one has paid for.

Now here comes Franks ONLY M.O.:

First the insult:

Hahaha...so you think you're a "discriminating and thinking individual"?

And then another insult and a lie:
Hahaha...that's funny and ridiculous...you're a "lying linux lovin

My, my, another insult, how quaint:
loser"...that's what you really are.

Finally, some bluster and yet another insult:
Live with it.
Idiot!

Frank is the biggest loser I have ever seen on Usenet and he is
completely incapable of replying to content and can only reply with
lies, insults and bluster.

Oh yea, you never heard anyone complain about upgrading... yada yada yada.
So you never heard 4 or 5 people complain. What about the millions of
others?
when 98SE came out. The complaints only started when Redmond decided they

Maybe you need to bend over for the Ubuntu President and Vice President.
After all, you ARE the Ubuntu Marketing Department
