I have a 1.33 ghz intell proccessor but with all the windows up dates( the
most I down load) my pc runs incredibly slow. I have tried to increace the
page filing but still get low memmory messages. I bought memory chip and use
a new graphics card (agp upgraded)but still cant run games with out jerky
video. when I first got this pc it worked fine. so I want to write 0 to my
drive and reinstall all programs with out all the up dates that must have
slowed it down

Updates dont slow the PC down, writing 0 to the drive is unlikely to help.
Malaware/Virus/Trojans/Low Disk space all slow the PC down

How much RAM memory?Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task
Manager and click the Performance Tab. What is the Total,
the Commit Charge and the Peak?

How large is your hard disk and how much free disk space? In
Windows Explorer right click on your C drive and select
Properties. Is the hard disk formatted as fat32 or NTFS?

Hope this helps.

Exactly what did you do to "increace the page filing."

but still get low memmory messages.
I bought memory chip

How much RAM do you have now?

The updates didn't slow it down. It's highly likely that your performance
issues are caused by malware, which is more and more of a problem these
days.

Starting from scratch and reinstalling everything without the updates will
almost certainly result in your very quickly getting back into the same
situation. Many of those updates are security updates and help to prevent
the kind of problems you're experiencing. But they aren't enough. You need
to also have security software installed: firewall, anti-virus, and more
than one anti-spyware program.

I recommend that you go to Malke's Malware Removal site at
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware and follow
the instructions there.
