Ever changing features...

Is it just me? My Vista Home Premium keeps changing without my
participation. I turned on "Hibernate". Now it's gone again. I changed the
default email to Windows Mail. It changed back to Outlook. The way Windows
Mail displays "send/recv" progress changes throughout the day. etc. etc.
This is making life difficult!
