event viewer

in the event viewer i have 2 problems that keep occuring.
they are as follows:
event id 7023.
the application management service terminated with the following error.
the specified module could not be found.
event id: 7026the following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to
load msi8042.
did a google search and it didn't help me.
I don't use a microsoft mouse anymore and deleted the directory.
How do i get rid of these errors

I was hoping someone had the answer to my problem.
did i post this question to the correct news group???
by the way i am using xp home.
if this is in the incorrect news group, which one should i post the
question.
