Event viewer Problem

Hi I am running an SBS2000 With service pack 4.
Few days ago when i tried to open even viewer i could open
the even viewer without any problem but when i click on
evens(system or appliaction or security)nothing happens
and i cant see any even open...does any one had similar
problem..please help me out.
