It may be a driver or it may also be this issue. The temporary fix; You
might try changing the file properties to "Overwrite as needed"
Then; Control Panel|Administrative Tools|Services|Event Log Service|General,
set the "Startup Type:" to "Disabled" restart the pc, then delete (or move)
the corrupt *.evt file(s) from %windir%\system32\config then set the Event
Log Service "Startup Type:" back to "Automatic", restart for effect.
The more permanent fix;

|I am running an Exchange Server on Windows 2000 Server. Each time I have
to reboot the machine, I get the typical message "At least one service
failed to start. See Event Viewer for Details". However, when I examine
the Event Viewer, there is nothing there. Not even any informational
records. It is as if whatever logs make up the Event Viewer GUI have
vanished.
| Has anyone dealt with anything like this before??
| Thanks
