Event Viewer Error help

Source: Service Control Manager
Type: Error
Event ID: 7001

The Windows Service Pack Installer update service service depends on the
Security Accounts Manager service which failed to start because of the
following error:

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it
has no enabled devices associated with it.



Any help would be appreciated.

See if Security Accounts Manager is disabled.
Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click Security Accounts Manager |
Set Startup type to Automatic | Click Apply | Click the Start
button | When the service starts, click OK | close Services

Open a command prompt...
Start | Run | Type: cmd | Click OK |
Type:

sc query SamSs

Hit your Enter key.
