I am getting event id "the browser was forced an election on Network
\device\netbt_tcpip........... because a master browser was stopped." This
message is occuring 2-3 times a minute. Each time, i loose me internet
connection. The network icon in the tray show "acquiring network address".
It'll connect and then drop the connection again.

The nic card is on board. I added a new nic card in, but continued to get
the message. I have a linksys router, and have cable internet. Any
suggestions on wht the problem could be.

I replaced the nic card and had the same problem. It connects to the
internet, but within 10-20 seconds the connection is lost. it acquires a new
address and repeats this process until I log off.
