Every time I start a server just installed, I receive a warning
in the event viewer with id 31. Write cache on hd1 has been
disabled ... or something like this.

I tried to make a search on the net ... but all articles found
doesn't referer to this specif message.
I tried also to take a look in device manager, if for my hd
there is some particular option. Nothing.

My hardware has a dvd-rw and dvd player on primary
ide channel. An hd on secondary ide channel.
Two more hd on double channel pci raid controller udma 133.
The driver for those controller is the lastest, downloaded from
the manufacturer web site ...

Any Idea?

Thanks
Andrea

In device manager, disk drive, double click on the problem
drive, you will find disk property and the write cache
reference is under that.

Hope this is useful.

I was gone there ... for the ide disk ... the option wasn't enabled,
and I turned it on ... for the other two disks, attached on the
raid pci card ... option is disabled (unselectable).

I restart my pc ... but no improvement was started. Message is
still there. What can I check anymore?
