I get this event-id on one of the clinet pc's (win xp)
I already did: flushdns, stopped started the dns service,
and stopped/started the logon service on the DC.

What can I do to fix this error?
and whatr does this mean? Sent update to server : <?>

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: DnsApi
Event Category: None
Event ID: 11164
Date: 28/11/2003
Time: 9:26:40
User: N/A
Computer: TESTPC2
Description:
The system failed to register host (A) resource records
(RRs) for network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {F9E9AE71-9F44-4764-B420-314E32474250}
Host Name : testpc2
Primary Domain Suffix : TRANSPOSIA.COM
DNS server list :
192.168.0.30
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address(es) :
192.168.0.42

The reason the system could not register these RRs was
because either (a) the DNS server does not support the DNS
dynamic update protocol, or (b) the authoritative zone for
the specified DNS domain name does not accept dynamic
updates.

To register the DNS host (A) resource records using the
specific DNS domain name and IP addresses for this
adapter, contact your DNS server or network systems
administrator.

On your DNS-server, servername, Reverse lookup zone, properties, tab
general, set 'allow dynamic update' to yes.
Do the same to the Forward lookup zone.

on\Parameters

AllowSingleLabelDnsDomain (REG_DWORD) registry value to
