Errors when running applications

I have 3 Dell D630 laptops running XP Pro. Recently all 3 laptops started
running very slow, crashing applications and as of yesterday certain programs
that were newly installed like SPYBOT or AD-AWARE will not run. They produce
and error:

THE APPLICATION FAILED TO INITIALIZE PROPERLY (0xc000007b). CLICK ON OK TO
TERMINATE THE APPLICATION.

I have tried running and installing these as a user and admin with the same
results. Any suggestions?

Try to Restore the system (System Restore) to prior to the crash and see if
that will solve the issue.
What your Anti-virus arrangement?.

Also look and try several on-line anti-virus / malware detections
system (like Housecall.)

Serveral spywares / malwares / viruses can render Spybot and Ad-Aware
"broken" since tehy target these softwares. Other viruses can break
most anti-virus softwares also.

I am running symantec end point (the problem existed be end point was
installed). Can you suggest anything else if the system restore doesn't work?

try the system restore to an earlier date and see, it could be a sever
infection and you cannot run these malware removal tools.
