Error: "You might not have permission to use this network resource."

I have just setup a simple 2 computer network. Computer A
is Windows XP Pro....computer B is Windows XP Home.
Computer B can access computer A with no problems
(Internet sharing, printer sharing, folder sharing).

The problem is when Computer A tries to access a shared
folder on computer B. It gets the following message:

"You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Not enough server storage is available to
process this command."

Computer A sees all of the network drives on computer
B...and when new folders are shared they will show up
automatically in the Network Places folder.

I need help in resolving this issue. Thanks!

I have also just set up a 2 pc network and both computers
can see the others files but I get the same error message
when I try to access the other computers files and it
doesn't make a difference if I am on A or B computer the
same thing happens. If you get an answer to this question
could you paste it into an email and send it to
(e-mail address removed) many thanks

Same goes for me. I've just added my problem if you want to se it, but basically it's the same but with 3 machines. Peculiar thing is that I rebuilt one of the machines and immediately after that (before I fully relaoded all the software) all worked fine. Now that I've reloaded everything, the problem has resurfaced!!

If you get an answer before me, please let me have it

That error message is most commonly caused
by a firewall program. The built in XP Internet
Connection Firewall is only meant to be used
on individual computers for the Internet connection.
It must be turned off on any network connections
between computers (Local Area Network). Third-party firewalls
can be used on a LAN but must be properly configured.

I've found an answer to my case. It was linked to a conflict with Norton Antivirus (even when it was turned off). Maybe it will sort your problem too. You may need to adjust theIRPStackSize in the registry.

You'll find "Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 177078 provides the information you need to try this. The site is http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?=kb;en-us;177078
