Don't have permission

G

Gil

I have 4 computers on my network, three with XP [one home, two pro] and
one with Ubuntu linux. Until recently all worked well, but now no other
computer can access the shared folders on this computer [XP Pro], not
even this computer if I go thru "entire network\Microsoft windows
network\workgroup name\computer name\shared docs\ [gils]. I get the
following message:
----------------------
\\Gils\SharedDocs is not accessible. You might not have permission to
use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions.

Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

--------------------------
I do have admin status.
I have tried unsharing all shared resources, disabling all sharing,
reenabling it and resharing to no effect.

Any ideas?

The problem is probably that an antivirus program has changed an
obscure TCP/IP setting. Please see this Microsoft Knowledge Base
article for a likely solution, specifying a value of 15 for
IRPStackSize on Gils:
