Error when trying to enable ICS...

Hi,

I have 2 network adapters 1xLAN and 1xWireless PCI. I have a LAN connection
to the shared internet service in my building with the following details:

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.x
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

What I am trying to do is to share the internet connection over an adhoc
wireless network to my other PCs. But when I try to enable ICS on the LAN
connection I get the following error message:

"An error occured whle Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled"

"Internet Connection Sharing cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already
configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing".

Any suggestions? I am using Windows XP Professional (Media Center) Version
5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600.

Thanks, Andy.

ICS wants to use the 192.168.0.x address range for the home network
connection (your ad-hoc wireless network). Since the building's LAN
connection uses the same range, there's a conflict.

Two possible solutions, neither of which uses ICS:

1. Create a network bridge on your computer between the wired and
wireless networks. I've written a web page with details:

XP ICS - Network Bridge
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/networkbridge.htm

2. Get a wireless router, connect it to the LAN, and configure it to
use a different address range (e.g. 192.168.1.x). Use the router's
Infrastructure network, not an ad-hoc network, to connect your
computers.
