Error when switching from normal to preview for index page

On 2 different webs, one I was making changes to and
another just started, whenever I try to switch from Normal
to Preview from the index.htm page, I get an error message
stating "error occurred while writing file". What's up?
I haven't had this problem before. Windows did crash
earlier today.

Did you do a cold re-boot (turn off the machine)

Also search for and delete all .tmp and .web files.

Then run scandisk and defrag.
