Error when scanning to email from HP 3800 scanner

Good day

i dont if this should fall on hardware or software thus i chose general.

i got a scanner that was working fine until now that when i scan to email in a pdf format it gives me an error saying to cannot scan to email, i tried logging in with a different profile but still i get the same message but my worry is when i change format to jpeg from pdf it does scan to email, please assist as to what could be the cause and what needs to be done as i must scan in pdf format

Which software are you using to scan to e-mail (as PDF), is it the software that came with the scanner or a 3rd party solution?

i'm using the same softwares that came with the scanner

In that case I'd try removing the software via the add/remove programs option in Control Panel and then re-install the latest version:

Hopefully it should repair the problem for you You'll need to install the driver and HP Photosmart Premier Software.

let's try with the latest version then as i've tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, so let's try with the new version then.
