Error when opening excel

Every time I open a certain worksheet in Excel I get the
following message:

"EXCEL.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created."

It is a shared workbook with no macros. It can be opened
still on other computers with no errors, just not mine.
Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?
Any help would be wonderful!!

First two questions:
What's the error log say?
Can you open the file in excel safe mode (Start->Run->
Excel /s)

I have a similar problem. If I open a workbook by
launching it from Windows Explorer, My Computer or a
Shortcut I get the same error immediately upon trying to
edit a cell. I can refresh links (if they exist) or print
or anything not related to editing a cell.

The workaround I have been suffering through is to open
Excel, File, Open to get the files open I need. I find
the error doesn't occur if I open workbook from inside
Excel.

When I opened Excel in safe mode, I didn't get the error.
