ERROR WHEN LOADING A CD ROM

WHEN EVER I LOAD MY PRINTER SOFTWARE DISC I GET THIS
MESSAGE.

c:\windows\system32\config.nt. the system file is not
suitable for running ms-dos windos applications.

ANY IDEAS? IVE SEARCH THE DATABASE FOR AN ANSWER, BUT I
DONT UNDERSTAND IT.

First, typing in all caps is considered shouting and very rude. Second,
what make and model printer? What "software disc" are you trying to
run? If it's the install program, are you sure the drivers are for
Windows XP and not an older operating system? Either go to the printer
mftr.'s website and download XP drivers and/or post back with necessary
details for more help.

First of all it wasnt all in caps, second of all the
printer software is correct for the operating system coz
ive used it b4, & thirdly its only started happening
since ive reinstalled windows.

Oh, sorry, I guess the error message was in lower case so the rest of
the message being in all caps somehow doesn't count. If you are sure
the printer software is correct, then my guess (and since you *still*
don't give the make/model of the printer it *has* to be a guess) is
that you didn't install the printer correctly. Contact the mftr.'s tech
support or refer to the manual that came with the printer for help.
