Error Report procedure?

I just got that Microsoft error window, the one apologising and saying
the application has to close, but offering further info via a Details
button.

It refers to a file
"The following files will be included in this error report:
C:\DOCUME~1\TERRYP~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER562.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt"

But apparently nothing is actually sent. And there is no such file
appcompat.txt anywhere on my system. Presumably there's an option
somewhere that I've turned off and forgotten?

Does this imply that file is not available *unless* I want to send it
to Microsoft? In this case, the reason was some weird conflict I keep
getting between Agent and PaintShopPro 7. So I would like to post a
detailed report - but to Forte and JASC respectively, not to
Microsoft. I used to send all of these error reports to MS. Never ever
had a single response.

Hi Terry,

The file is just for sending info to Microsoft, and it's just a temp used
while uploading. To look at the error yourself, you should use the event
viewer in administrative tools.

Thanks Rick. But where do I go from there.Event Viewer is much
shorter. Just says this:
Faulting application photodrw.exe, version 1.0.0.2115, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.1217, fault address 0x000085c0.

So, is there no fuller report available somehow? And can you tell me
how I would switch back on the option to send to MS, if I want to
please?

Hi Terry,

Error reporting can be reenabled on the advanced tab of system properties in
the control panel.

If you want to send to Forte and PSP, just copy the relevant errors from the
event viewer.
