Hi,

I'm suffering with the same problem as everyone else who
has IE. I updated windows 98se about a week ago and from
that time we've had IE reporting that it has encountered a
problem and must close. Sorry for any inconvenience. I've
checked other people's posts and used Spybot S & D and
CWShredder of which it has decreased the occurrences. Now
instead of every time it's every so often but still there!
I've disabled the 3rd party browser extensions to no
effect! Please save this HP from a flying trip out my
window.

Thanks
Sarah

This is an automatic reporting system to help Microsoft know about bugs so that they can provide solutions. You can turn the system off but it is much better to find out what the problem is so that it can be resolved.

Make a note of the precise text of any error message. You can always look at these in Event Viewer. Start, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event ID: and Source Description are important.

Post details of the Error Report and we can see if we are able to help.

Please let the newsgroup know how you get on.

~~~~~~
Hope this helps.
The IE Error Report generates a "appcompat.txt" file.
This can usually be found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp\
Paste the contents (if found) in your next message.
