"Error performing in page operation"

Having trouble accessing Slave Drive (D:) on Primary IDE.
Problem just started today, no previous problems
accesssing the drive. Device manager shows drive, it's
visible in Windows Explorer, but any attempt to access the
drive results in the following error message:
"Error performing in page operation"

Any assistance/suggestions appreciated.
