Error opening

All of a sudden last week, anytime I tried to open an IE browser window, or another program tried to open a window, I would get an error asking me to send in an error report. I can open up My Computer, select "view as webpage" and type an address into the address bar and it will then function as the web browser. But if I click on a link that opens a new window, it will give me the error. Please help. It's driving me nuts!

Rule out parasites.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
