error on update

i'm upgrading from 98se to xp pro. i get an error message
(bluescreen) that "setup cannot copy file; parport.sys"
retry,ignore or cancel. i cannot get past this screen to
continue setup. HELP!

maybe your cd is just smudged or dirty. Try cleaning it and installing
again.
