Error number: 0x8024D007

Help! When I try to update to Service pack 2 , first I get a message that i
need to reinstall updating software, and when I accept having the software
reinstalled, I get this message:
[Error number: 0x8024D007]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

I have already checked my update and BITS configurations-I found those
instructions in a search, but it still does not work. i have restarted the
computer, but that did nothelp either.

Not only do I need the update for general reasons, but my ipod keeps fouling
up and the rep said it was because I don't have service pack 2

Hey Vicki,

Well just a shot in the dark here but if you have your windows cd then you
can go to start > run > type in "sfc /scannow" (without quotes and make sure
there is a space between sfc and /scannow) > click OK. Your system will now
scan for any problems within the primary windows files and will replace them
if they are corrupt with files from your cd. This should reinstall your
updating software from the windows original. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
