ERROR MSG

I KEEP GETTING THIS MWG WHEN I CLOSE MY PROGRAMS AND
COMPUTER SITS FOR A WHILE... WHAT DO I DO ??

"The Device Driver for COM 1 device is preventing the
machine from entering Standby. Please close all
applications and try again. If problem persists - may need
to upgrade driver."
