error msg when computer starts

for some reason this message came up on my screen today recguard.exe entry
point not found then under that it says

the procedure entry point (then some symbols) could not be located in
dynamic link library user32.dll

i checked my event logs but found nothing any idea what this means?

Description:
recguard.exe is a process from HP that prevents a user from deleting or
corrupting the WinXP Recovery Partition on Hewlett Packard computers.

If you have the utilities CDs that came with your pc, perhaps try
reinstalling the HP software to see if that cures the problem.
