\iexplore.exe.mdmp

I have a Dell Dimension 8200, 512 ram, 2.2 p4 processor,
80gighd(only 30% used) XP PRO it is about 1 1/2 years
old. The only utility I am running is Norton Anti Virus
which is on all the time and it auto updates and also auto
update for MS.

I am getting a low virtual minimum memory error message.
I have 512of ram and it was 1500 to 2000. I felt that
should be more than enough. But according to the error
notices it is not. So I increased it to 2000 to 2500.
Now that is 5 times the mbs of ram. It shouldf work.

I have not gotten those error messages since I changed
because now I am using ctrl alt del to close out of frozen
programs. So even with the increased memory it is still
not fixing the problem.

Programs freeze up. The start menu is extremely slow in
opening up along with everything else. When I open
msword, the window opens about an inch at a time, it opens
in increments.

I have used search to find the location indicated on the
error messages. But I have no luck. I do not have a
folder called documents with susie/locals, etc. I have
also done a search for accompat.txt and iexplore.exe.mdmp.

I would appreciate any help. I need to be given a path to
the files if there is something I need to do with them.

Thank you so very much. Susie ps. feel free to email if
you would like (e-mail address removed)

Virtually memory is not RAM. Did you perhaps reinstall XP prior to the
problem?

Look in Control Panel|ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS for Intel Application Accelerator.
If found, remove it. Things should immediately improve.

But it is wise to install the latest version, after reading the literature
careful to ensure compatibility...

If this is not the problem, see...

FROM DEV:
Virtually memory is not RAM.

(I understand this, I mentioned my RAM as it is used as a
guide if you want to increase virtual memory rather than
let the system manage it.)

(No, I did not)
Look in Control Panel|ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS for Intel Application Accelerator.
If found, remove it. Things should immediately improve.

(I did not fine an Intel Application Accelerator)

(So if I do not have the accelerator are you saying I
should install one? Or just install if I had one and
removed it?)

(I will try the others thank you for your help and any
other suggestions you would like to make) Susie
