Error message

When I receive e-mails, after so many are received, the following error
message pops up. I assume I am getting all e-mails but really not sure if
the error message pops up before all are received.
This same error message pops up when I try to send e-mails or reply:

The host 'smfp1.nf.sympatico.ca' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Read: Port Aux Basque Dec 12th', Account: 'pop6.nf.sympatico.ca',
Server: 'smfp1.nf.sympatico.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.

Can you please help.

Thanks,
Lisa

This sure isn't right:

Server: 'smfp1.nf.sympatico.ca'

That should be smtp, not smfp, and I am not sure if the 1 belongs there,
but I think it does.

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers. Enter the correct
settings.

Are you located in Newfoundland Canada. The reason I ask because your pop and smtp
are set as such. Bell Canada has many different settings when it comes to pop and
smtp for each province. Also which AV are you using to scan your sympatico email
accounts with. .
Your Port 25 is correct for Sympatico and your Port for incoming should be reading
110.
Please advise on the above before we can try to help you.
Meanwhile you can call Sympatico (24hrs) for more info..
