When I run AVG antivirus I get message suggesting to change shell32.dll,
user32.dll and ntoskrnl.exe files. The computer seems to be working alright.
What do I do?

When you say run AVG, do you mean a scan of your system ?
When the messages appear does it indicate an infection of the files &
name the infector ?

I would double-check your PC's health by running an alternate scan
from another vendor. Trend Micro's Housecall is a good alternate:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
*Requires installing an ActiveX component. Full scan may take as
long as 30 Minutes to complete.

Next time the AVG messages appear, note exact text displayed and
post that information.

user32.dll, shell32.dll and ntoskrnl.exe had changes that AVG noticed. You
have to do nothing. Some Windows Critical Updates install new versions of
these files. AVG sees this and alerts you to that fact. Ignore it.
