Does anybody know why the system gives this error message:

The device, \Device\Ide\IdeDeviceP1T1L0, did not respond
within the timeout period.

Type=Error

*************
Source=CdRom
Type=Error
EventID=11
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom1.
*************
Are these HW problems?

It could be a hardware problem or a currupt device
driver. Uninstall the device and reboot. Windows will
reinstall the necessary drivers when it finds the device.
