error message

When I start XP I get a message that says 'some files
needed for system stability have been replaced by
unrecognized versions. Xp needs to restore original
files, please insert xp disk and '... Wehn I insert my
xp disk it auto launches and then the dialog box
disappears but I haven't done anything to fix the
problem. Then when I reboot, I get the same message.
 
Hi,

I have seen this from not running the Check Disk upon boot....then the
Windows File Verification runs. If this is not the case for you:
Go to Start/Run/Msinfo32/Tools/File Signatures Verification Utility.
