Error message

I am using Office XP-Access2002. I can open tables okay. However, when I want
to create a report, I get an error message:"M Access has encountered a
problem and needs to close." It then gives me the option to repair the
database and restart.
I have tried starting over with a new database and creating a brand new
table, and report. The same thing happens - when I want to create a report,
I get the error message and it closes. What is causing this? How do I fix
it? I do not seem to have problems using Word or Excel - just Access.

Out of curiousity, are you attempting to use a report wizard? If so, does
Access crash if you simply click on the New button to create a report? If the
crash occurs when using a report wizard, try replacing three files on your
hard drive:

Acwzmain.mde
Acwzlib.mde and
Acwztool.mde

Use the instructions shown in KB 303769. One or more of these files may have
become corrupted. Do this without Access running.

If that doesn't fix the problem, try re-registering the Accwiz.dll,
Msado15.dll and DAO360.dll files.
Click on Start > Run. Then enter the commands:

Regsvr32 Accwiz.dll
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\system\ado\Msado15.dll"
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\Dao360.dll"

If the crash does not involve the use of a wizard, then try clicking on Help
Detect and Repair. You may need to have your installation CD handy.
