how to get rid of these
 
Which version and what level of XP are you running? Are these error
messages or what?
 
it looks like some kind of pop up related to some kind of add in, e.g.,
toolbar with desktop searching.....The question is if it is a spyware or
simply an illegal script

I remembered trying something like out, but uninstalled it.....
 
Uninstall your present MSN Toolbar and get a newer one. Or just uinstall
and do not re-install.

Do the Same for Windows Desktop Search.
